The HD-ification was an obvious and necessary step, the exaggerated character models and substantially more detailed backgrounds are flat-out beautiful (if a little too static at times), and the voice-acting is on par with later games in the series (mostly thanks to the reuse of talent that voiced later MI installments). The other two big changes - a new art style and dialogue voiceovers - are good ones.
